Join us at our open monthly meetings on the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 am.
We convene at the Cedar Springs Public Library (room location may vary, inquire at front desk if unsure).
Our next scheduled meeting is: Saturday, November 9 @9AM **Due to scheduling conflicts, November’s meeting will be held in the lobby of the Cedar Springs Wendy’s instead of the llibrary**
There are many ways you can get involved with the Cedar Springs Community Players. We welcome everyone regardless of your theatre experience (or lack thereof). Bring your interest in theatre, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn, share, and participate!
Check out the list below and contact us today to join us on our adventures!
Backstage:
For every show, a backstage crew is necessary. Various jobs include stage manager, stage-hands, and makeup. No experience is necessary!
Set Building:
If you have a talent and/or interest in carpentry, building, or painting, we could use your help. Most of our set building happens the two Saturdays before a show and in the few hours before and after rehearsals at the Kent Theatre.
Technical:
The technical elements of theatre include lighting and sound, as well as photography and videography for productions. No experience? No problem! We have mentors who are interested in training more people in backstage tech!
Marketing and Promotion:
Help get the word about by creating press releases, hanging posters, distributing postcards/flyers, soliciting program advertisers, working on the web site and gathering patron information.
Front of the house:
Every production needs a house manager as well as box office attendants and ushers at each performance to greet patrons, take tickets, and pass out programs.
Onstage:
😉 And yes, we need actors, too!
